First we would like to thank you for your interest in our recreation park.

We want to be a park where permanent holiday-makers and tourists feel safe, where they can entertain themselves or enjoy the nature and tranquillity. You name it, we offer it: a bite to eat in the eatery, boat hire, cycling, sailing, angling, swimming in the numerous bodies of water and enjoying nature, the museums, harbours, picturesque villages, etc. We cater for every need. We also try to fulfil the dreams of different people who have different requirements and budgets: becoming the owner of their own recreational property.

Our park is open 365 days a year, but permanent residence is not permitted!

Our recreational park therefore offers various options, namely:
– Your own static caravan on rented land.
– Your own mobile chalet on purchased land.
– Your own bungalow or chalet on purchased land.
– Your own building plot to build something new.

Maximum investment
You can become the owner of a holiday home at De Groote Vliet Recreation Park, allowing you to full enjoy the tranquillity and sports-based relaxation. But you can also combine the rental return of your property with personal use: a win-win situation! You can rent out your property yourself or via the park’s letting agency.

As we like to devote enough time to you, we like to make an appointment. During this appointment, we will give you all the information you need and we can view the park and any properties and plots for sale.

    All chalets that are for sale are existing chalets that are on re-sale. They often are fully furnished and have a laid-out garden. These chalets vary in terms of model, layout, surface area, material finish and position, as they were built on the instruction and in accordance with the wishes of the owners. The chalets are made of high-quality materials and constructed on concrete slabs, by a construction company.

    Letting opportunities
    You can arrange for your chalet to be let through us. Our charge for this service: 25% of the rent. The service includes arrangement of keys, advertisements, financial matters, guidance and cleaning.

    You are not obliged to arrange letting via us. If you arrange the letting yourself, you must notify the tenants that they need to register with us and give them a barrier key. We can welcome your guests in reception and give them the necessary information. For the sake of safety and emergencies, we like to know who is staying at out park and where.

    If you wish your chalet to be let by us, you are obliged to have your inventory arranged by us as well. This means the differences in term of luxury are minimal and it makes it easier for us to replace items, should that be necessary. It is convenient for the landlords and it prevents complaints.

    The fixed charges applicable to our park are available on request.

    If you are seriously interested in our park and one or more of your preferred chalets are unavailable, we can place you on our waiting list, free of obligation. We will send you newsletters by email to keep you updated of available chalets before they go on official sale. Should you have any questions, feel free to contact us.     The site caravans on our park are all completely different because they are privately owned and our customers have always had the freedom to choose something that suits their own requirements. The majority of site caravans are suitable for a maximum of four people. The fixtures & fittings are usually as follows: one bedroom with a double bed, one bedroom with a bunk bed, one bathroom with shower & toilet and a living room with an open-plan kitchen. All static caravans offer 3 x 25 Amp voltage, natural gas, water and a connection to the sewer. The furnishings differ per site caravan. Again, most of the site caravans are situation on (open) water.The site caravans are mostly sold on a leasehold plot. Our park is open 365 days a year, but permanent residence is not permitted!



    Residential Tenancy Rights
    The majority of parks in the Netherlands offer a 1 year rental contract. This is normally automatically extended every year, but can also be cancelled unexpectedly after a year. Accordingly, you run a risk. With us this is different. All our site caravans have Residential Tenancy Rights. The duration of the Residential Tenancy is dependent upon the age of the caravan and its condition. A short explanation about how our Residential Tenancy operates is as follows: 


    When you maintain your plot and caravan well, pay your bills on time and behave as a responsible renter, then you may remain for the duration of your Residential Tenancy. This will be assessed by the administrator. When the Residential Tenancy right has expired, you will be approached about your future plans. The caravan would need to be removed, but you can have a chalet built on your leasehold plot. You would then purchase this including the ground.

    • Letting of your accommodation is possible
    The plots for sale are delivered cleared and empty. Various plots are available in terms of position: along the carp pond, along the public waterways and fishing waters and green plots (away from the water). The plots for sale measure an average of 200m2. We apply price levels, plots situated along the water (water plots) and plots away from the water (green plots). The overview outlines which plots are offered for sale. Our park is open 365 days a year, but permanent residence is not permitted! Newly constructed chalets If you opt to have your new chalet constructed through us, it will be built directly through our regular contractor in accordance with the building permit, using high-quality materials.  The chalet is built with a slab edge and can be designed from small and simple to large with lots of luxury. Together we will design the model and layout in accordance with your wishes and we will supervise the construction process from start to finish. You can also have your chalet constructed or installed yourself, although this is subject to close consultation and the zoning plan. Mobile chalets On your own building plot, in addition to building a chalet, you also have the option of installing a mobile chalet. The chalet and corresponding work must of course meet the building requirements, regulations and permits of the Municipality of Medemblik and the park. Only chalets of a proper quality and sound materials, in keeping with the standards of the park and its future vision, are permitted.
